Testimonials
I am a young person from rural community in Gulu city. I had always dreamed of starting my own business, but I lacked the skills and resource to make it happen. That is when I heard about youth skilling project by Global Friends of peace. I applied for the program and was selected to participate in their entrepreneurship training.
Through the program, I gained valuable skills in business planning, financial management, and marketing, I also received mentorship and support from experienced entrepreneur. With the skill and confidence I gained, I started my own business, a small bakery in my community. Its been a success, and I am now able to support myself and my family.
I am grateful to Global friends of peace for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to reach my potential. Their youth skilling project is truly making a difference in the lives of young people like me.

Before I met Global friends of peace, life was not a constant struggle, as a single mother, I face immense challenges providing for my children. The financial burden was overwhelming, I often felt hopeless.
Thanks to the women economic empowerment program, my life took a positive turn. I received training in tailoring. This knowledge, coupled with the startup capital provided, empowered me to start my own tailoring workshop. Now I am able to provide for my children’s needs, send them to school, and save for the future. I am no longer just surviving: I am surviving: Global friends of peace has given me the tools and support to build a better life for myself.
